Court Diversion was developed by Dr. Philip P. Taylor, JD, PhD, as an alternative solution to animal and pet-related criminal violations.

These criminal violations and cases are traditionally resolved by imposing fines, fees, probation, and jail time. The United States Supreme Court and Department of Justice, however, instruct courts to strongly consider alternatives to traditional penalties when resolving criminal cases. provides individuals, judges, and prosecutors an alternative to such traditional, and often ineffective, penalties. affords an opportunity to resolve animal and pet-related criminal cases by educating violators. Ask the court or prosecutor if this class is an option in your case.
